Confluence Spey Night

July 29 @ 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM

Free

We’ve had a lot of questions about our normal summer spey nights this year in the midst of the pandemic. We offer the opportunity to demo some of our spey gear on the river, free two-handed casting instruction and a chance to learn what spey is all about. People of all skill levels are welcome and it’s a great time to learn the ins and outs of casting a two-handed rod, be it for big salmon and steelhead or swing little soft hackles on a trout spey for 12″ cutthroat. Now that Whatcom County is in Phase 2 of Washington’s Safe Start Program we are going to schedule some spey nights but with some changes to our normal process.

Spey nights will be limited to 6 people per session and RSVP is required. Please RSVP and spots will be assigned on a first come first serve basis. We will do our best to make sure anyone who wants to participate gets a chance to participate at least once this summer and will maintain a waitlist in case we get a cancellation.

All participants must come prepared with face masks for the spey night and wear them.

We’ll provide hand sanitizer and ask that you use it prior to any equipment demo.

Thanks for your cooperation and we’re excited to see you on the river.
