CDC is one versatile and magical feather. Its natural buoyancy makes it a wonderful material in dry fly applications. It also makes incredibly buggy legs and collars on nymphs and soft hackled flies. Feathers can either be wound like a hackle or clipped and spun in a dubbing loop. The soft fibers move like marabou and also trap air bubbles to create an attractive life like appearance underwater.
