Winter steelhead season is fast upon us and it's prime time to begin restocking your swing box for the year (assuming you haven't already).
Tying on tubes is one of our favorite ways create vibrant, swimmy steelhead-enticing critters that can be rigged a gazillion different ways. Need to replace the hook? No problem. Want the hook closer to the fly or set back a little further for those short strikes? No problem.
We are excited to welcome Jordan Young-Treadway to the Confluence to teach a crash course in tying on tubes and show you how to tie some of his favorite winter steelhead patterns. Jordan operates Treadwaters Fly Fishing and guides the Skagit and Sauk extensively throughout the year. He's a passionate fly tyer and enthusiastic teacher.
